In this article i gonna share manual testing interview process held at the Paytm, sec – 5 , Noida and share all the PAYTM manual testing interview questions . The drive conducted for both the 3-4 experienced manual testing and automation testing and around 200 candidates came for the interview.
Firstly they ask the experience about the manual testing and automation testing and according to that they were scheduling the interview. Basically there are 4 rounds in Paytm for manual testing and automation testing.
PAYTM Interview Process
1st round is the written test and around 30 questions were there –
5 of them are from LINUX and UNIX
5 of them are from SQL ( SQL questions are quite easy – beginner level preparation is enough to crack the exam )
5 of them are from APTITUDE
3 are from Logical reasoning
and rest are from Manual testing questions if you opt for the manual testing . There are two options available there one is for automation and one for manual . So as per our expertise area we have to choose any one of them.
You first called for the written test and group of 10-15 people will go in one slot and invigilator will be there so you have to attempt the paytm written test your self and This written test is same for the drive like for JAVA developers , SQL developers etc.
Now for all those who cleared the written test round will go for the second Technical round.
2nd Round Paytm Manual testing Interview Questions
In the second round they just ask the basic questions but they more focused on the Linux part and Rest API testing. Following questions are asked during the Paytm 2nd Technical round of Manual Testing.
Question 1 ) What is the bug life cycle and draw its diagram ?
Answers ) I know every tester is familiar with that
They will see the resume and ask the most of the questions.
Question 2 ) what is Sanity Testing and Smoke testing as i mentioned in my Resume about that .
Answers ) Smoke Testing is testing of the major functionality of any requirement and it is done just before any testing start like functional testing and system testing to detect any defect in the early stages.
Sanity testing is a part of regression or subset of it and we mainly focus on some of the major requirement and test it thoroughly as we don’t have much time for testing.
Question 3 ) How will you perform the testing when you got the requirement from the customer , What are the steps you follow as a tester from the starting ?
Answer ) I just described my project that how i do work in my project from analysis phase till the test execution plan . So anyone can can explain their project that is the best answer can be given for this i think so .
Question 4 ) Find the maximum salary from a table ?
Answer ) This is the most easiest question in the interview round and i just said
Select Max(salary) from Table ;
and he said good and you can wait for the next round of interview.
3rd Round : Technical Round Paytm Manual testing Interview Questions
During the 3rd technical round of Paytm Manual testing he asked the simple questions .
They asked that do you have any experience of LINUX operating system and REST API testing. I said no as i have not used LINUX.

after that they didn’t ask me much question as their main requirement is of LINUX resource as the interviewer told me that the our organisation mainly works on LINUX and rest API testing. I suggest to have the knowledge of LINUX and Rest API before appearing for the PAYtm manual testing interview. This is all about the Paytm Manual testing interview questions.
