Negative Marking scheme in Elitmus Ph test

There is also a negative marking scheme in Elitmus Paper and it is a little bit confusing. Negative marking scheme applies to all the section individually. lets elaborate with some example, for every 4 right answers 1 wrong answers is exempted means no negative marking for that answer. Means 25% of right answers are exempted. lets say we have 16 right answers then 25 % of 16 is 3 , there will be no negative marking for the 3 wrong answers in a particular section. But if you exceed the 25 % then ( -5 negative ) for each wrong answer.

Lets clear this also with some example :
Total questions attempted : 12 ( 10 marks each )
Total correct answers : 9 ( 90 marks )
Total incorrect answers : 3
Total incorrect answers exempted : 25 % of correct answers that is 2 ( round off )
Total negative marking : 2 are exempted and 1 is valid for negative marking ( -5 )
Total marks scored : 90 ( correct answers) – 2 incorrect ( exempted) – 1 incorrect ( -5 ) = 90 – 5 = 85 marks

hope you are clear about the negative marking scheme now.
